About the event

Swiss experience in nuclear decommissioning has started in 2020 with the dismantlement of Mühleberg nuclear power plant. Experience with radioactive waste management is at an exploratory stage regarding the final repository location. In order to prepare this important step as well as possible, Noé21 (a Geneva NGO of public utility) organises an international symposium on Thursday 30 September 2021 in the auditorium of the PROGR Centre in Bern. Speakers will come from all over Europe and to share their hands-on experience in decommissioning and radioactive waste management.

Benefiting from the diversity of speakers and the audience - specialized administrations, members of Parliament, public services, construction companies and engineering firms - this symposium aims at bringing out inspiring exchanges around all the themes.

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in French and German.
