New Orientation for the Economy in the 21st century: Noe21 defines itself as a capacity and action centre promoting solutions to global climate change. Noe21 inscribes itself in the Swiss culture of consensus building and cooperation, respecting interpersonal relationships and adopting a non-dogmatic approach. Noe21 is a capacity centre in the sense that it maintains a critical stance towards the solutions it evaluates and studies all of them, market based instruments, behaviour changes and innovative technology solutions. Noe21 is an organisation in action, because it would try the practicality of the solutions it evaluates. For example, we are studying DSM (Demand Side Management) for a Geneva -based utility, and organising a workshop on energy efficiency with another utility Energy efficiency : How can a utility sell less current and still survive? |
